Natasha, our whimsical black cat with impossibly long whiskers, allowed me to transcribe some of her poetry to share with the human population. Here are a few of her most celebrated haiku.
Lost in my own thoughts,
Watching winter turn to spring.
I am so precious.
My brother Boris
Sneaks up on me when I sleep.
Meany-pants Boris.
Forbidden closet,
You tease with promise of treats
And lost tinkly bells.
I’m a poetess,
Living in my mind’s attic,
Chasing little mice.
